James Hickson

James has twenty-five years’ experience as a financial adviser and joined Thomson Tyndall as an Appointed Representative in November 2021. There are two parts to James’ business. He runs a wealth management business, recommending investments to suit clients’ attitudes to risk, whilst making sure that they are saving for the medium term and retirement in as tax efficient manner as possible. Portfolio management as well as pension transfers and flexible access to income in retirement are a particular speciality. He also runs a burgeoning mortgage practice helping clients to secure the best mortgage for them in and around London, whether it be a new purchase, a remortgage or a product switch for their current loan. As well as finding the best rate, James will also make what can be a stressful operation as straightforward as possible. Out of the office James enjoys golf and real tennis as well as fielding at long leg and batting number 11 for his local cricket team.
