Our story

Thomson Tyndall is an FCA authorised and regulated IFA and Investment Management Firm offering Independent whole of market advice to private clients and their families, as well as to charities and businesses.

The firm was established in its present form in 2016 but has roots and client relationships through The Thomson’s Partnership which date back to 1969, when John Dalton and John Dyson formed Thomsons’ Equity & Life Brokers Ltd, which later merged with Chase De Vere.

John Dyson went on to form The Thomson’s Partnership which formed the foundations of Thomson Tyndall.

We are a private firm, majority-owned and managed by our staff. This stability of ownership enables us to take the long view necessary when advising our clients and their families.

Our offices are in the heart of London and we have built an extensive network of key fund managers and experts in the City and beyond to enable us to deliver a comprehensive service to our clients, who are based all over the UK.
