Christopher Kurkjian

Christopher has been Head of Charities at Thomson Tyndall since 2020, helping to establish charitable trusts and CIOs, shaping investment strategies focused on growth and income, and working with the team responsible for managing the portfolios of charitable institutions in the UK and internationally. He also plays a key role in maintaining relationships with families and individual clients.  He gained a 2.1 in Business Studies from Surrey University and subsequently joined the Private Clients team at Merrill Lynch International in 1999. He later spent over 13 years at Santander Private Bank as their first UK-based private banker and regulated investment advisor and helped to grow the Private Bank. In addition to his work with private wealth clients, Christopher has been a Trustee for almost 30 years, advising numerous City of London and international charitable foundations, schools and livery companies in the welfare and culture sector. Christopher holds the Private Client Investment Advice & Management (PCIAM) qualification and the CII Diploma in Financial Planning and became a Chartered Fellow of The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) in 2021. Christopher is on the organising committee of the Inter-Livery Real Tennis Competition for which Thomson Tyndall were title sponsors in 2023 and 2024.
